Blaine Connett: Wireless surveillance cameras have DC adapters. Or they are powered over ethernet (POE) for IP wireless cameras.If you are thinking of using a portable rechargeable battery, they won't last long. A tripple A may last for an hour or two.
Theresia Fashaw: Friend,Most wireless cameras need AC power. They are not battery powered. Users are always encouraged to plan how the cameras will be powered at the location they will be installed. So you need not worry about batteries lifespan. I personally would not recommend battery-powered surveillance cameras. Even photo cameras cannot stay long as they are battery powered, so we can't expect surveillance cameras to be well-powered on batteries.Nevertheless, the wireless part is the network-cable-free connectivity to the DVR which is very reliable nowadays, thanks to technology advancements....Show more
