Raelene Cunnick: The best way to improve is to practice, practice, practice. That's what I'm doing. If you have a little extra cash a tablet can make drawing on computers easier. Wacom is the best I think, and comes with a good software bundle, but others are available.You could also try use a 3d rendering program like Poser. Craig Virani: if you wanna make animation as your career....join a good diploma program which gives importance to lot of drawings and animation principles......and always remember animation is a film making process....thus join a course which trains you to work on storytelling, script writing, storyboarding, color theory, a bit of painting to understand composition.Befor! e getting into computer animation please get some traditional skills as mentioned above....Show more

It's free, open-source, and is probably the most powerful free 3D animation tool available.If you're interested in 2D animation then I'd really recommend Andrew Loomis books for learning how to draw people in different positions and poses.
