Car audio Horrible problem :X?

Alise Rutgers: yes you will probably need 2 amps and you may want to upgrade your alternator, as long as you dont get one that puts out more than battery can handle. might be a good idea to get a new battery too

Dawn Saha: seems like it needs alot of work :/ i guess i should start with a new battery perhaps a new alternator an see where the takes me

Delphine Cajka: if you are having dimming problems without a amplifier you have wiring issues in your car. either you wired something wrong or their was a pre- existing problem. with the max amperage draw of a headunit being around 15 amps if your battery or alternator was that weak the car wouldn't start.

Tosha Tawney: You have a REALLY weak alternator.

Donnell Mollo: properly ultimate purchase sells distinctly much the comparable stereo kit as wal-mart so which you are able to't anticipate plenty. manufacturers like MTX or Memphis run very cool and in case you get type D (mono block) amps they're gre! ater powerful, and take up little area. severe end manufacturers in many cases underrate their genuine wattage. My MTX replace into rated at 4 hundred and ended up around 490rms.

Majorie Chester: you may want to check for frayed wires going to your speakers because if a wire has a frayed spot it can arc to the metal near by causing this one way to narrow it down is find your balance controls for left/right and front/rear play each speaker individually and try to duplicate the problem also turn your bass up while testing more bass = more current and voltage = most likely to arc. if this doesn't work make sure your power wire and ground are both secure and of sufficient size to accommodate the power needs of your head unit. if all that is ok then get your hands on a multi meter and check voltage at the head unit then at the battery also check ground using the ohms setting on the meter (hook one lead to the ground wire one to some thing else grounded on the vehicle pref! erably not directly next to the head unit ) you should get a r! eading near o ohms something like .005 ohms if it goes much above .5 you have a bad ground (reground in a different location) also the +wire should be around 13.8 +or- .5 volts dc while vehicle is running if not check at battery if it is lower then there's a good chance you have a bad alternator but you would probably have already seen other signs of that like very dim head lights dead battery and other obvious signs well good luck and i hope this was helpful...Show more

Inell Riesgo: OK there's a few things happening here..1. Skipping. You need to secure the CD player better. Install a backing brace plate and ensure its securely bolted to the metal frame, this should help substantially.2. Flashing. There's a few things which may need attention. Firstly, I would do the Big Three upgrade (earths in engine bay and alternator power cable), then upgrade the battery as per this article: http://decibelcar.com/index.php/menuelectri/74-upg...You should also go to the nearest! auto parts store and ask them if they can test your factory alternator....Show more

Tom Romer: so i guess i should re wire the whole car (car audio i mean) all the speaker wires correct ?
